Can we get a pedicure -- STAT!

Chunky toes

Actually, Mike needs a pedicure and a shower, STAT. (You're welcome that I didn't make this picture very big.) Today he did get to "wash" his hair. You know you've been in the hospital too long when you have this much fun with a shower cap.

In general, he is doing well and plans are for him to come home sometime tomorrow. There have been a few snags of late, but my husband has issued a gag order and I'm not allowed to share all the details. Since it's been 3 weeks since he's been able to walk without crutches or a walker and he's spent going on 5 days in the hospital, I'll comply.

Suffice it to say that Mike has the reverse Midas touch. When someone says "it probably won't" to my husband, it WILL.

So you'll understand that tonight when we asked the nurse about how they take out the surgical staples and she said "It's real easy. They just pull them out, unless your skin grows up around them," I gave her a shot of demerol and shoved her in a closet.

Fingers crossed for Mike's safe and easy release!

Just got caught up with your blog, hope you are all doing well today.
Sounds like your husband will be in control of the remote for awhile.

We nurses are always full of such good news ;0)

Glad he is on the mend. I understand the reverse Midas touch. That describes me and my medical history as well! Wish I had the same odds of luck when it came to winning millions!!!

Wow, I thought this picture was going to be a LOT worse. Those toes aren't nearly as awful as you described them, lol!!!
