I'm glad he was brave. I'm glad they were accepting. My husband has been very lonely for guy friends since moving here from Indy. His breakfast meeting place there was Bob Evans.

How to make friends in a new town when one is 59 years old?

I love these Amy. I can not imagine looking for a new bunch of coffee buddies where you are the age of those gentlemen. When I was visiting my aunt, we went to the little restaurant where she and her husband "hung out". There were several couples and some singles who all form their own little community so no one ever has to eat dinner alone. Very sweet group; they thought I was the prettiest thing to be at their table in a long time. Of course, I'm 40 years younger than most of what is at their table ;)
Great post! I think your definition of Indian Summer is the best I have seen. I was almost disappointed to have to put on summer clothes again after being "up north". LOL!

Great definitions and the link was inspiring! I'd add to High School: four years during which you will never see your child or your money. :/

I wish that I had that mans courage. I still haven't found a group in my new town...I don't have that kind of courage!
