But I will celebrate the day with a twinkle in my eye as if he were with me :)kbiermomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16126399723238749450noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-933205011038630788.post-18271699727889783522010-12-06T02:09:50.532-05:002010-12-06T02:09:50.532-05:00i really miss my maternal grandparents this time o...i really miss my maternal grandparents this time of year. when my grandma died in feb of '91, the family really fell apart. i was just talking with my sister the other day about how wonderful it was to spend christmas with the whole family every year when we were young. my mom is one of eleven and probably 8 or 9 of them and all their kids would gather at grandma and grandpas on christmas day. we always had tons of great food and all of us cousins would play football or just enjoy visiting. i hate that my kids will never experience that large family gathering that i remember so fondly.<br /><br />my husband is also really feeling the stress of the holidays. i didn't realize how much until this evening, but now that i am sharing the burden, it has taken a lot of wind out of my sails when it comes to holiday enthusiam. <br /><br />i am glad you got to spend so much quality time with your mom and your papa - those will be memories that you will cherish forever!!kimybeeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14897833610240170552noreply@blogger.com
