GR-8 Indianapolis Indians ticket giveaway

Photobucket
I don't do a lot of giveaways, but from time to time one comes along that sounds like fun. This is one of those times. The Indiana Family of Farmers has invited me to take my family -- AND ONE OF YOURS -- to the June 11, 2012 Indianapolis Indians baseball game.

A lot of giveaways are set up for families of 4, which leaves someone out if you're in my family of 5. But IFoF is letting me give away 8 tickets to its Family Night at the Ballpark. That means even a big family can have a big night at Victory Field.

Gates open at 5:30pm with the game beginning against the Rochester Red Wings at 7:05pm. In addition to tickets to the game, the winner of this giveaway is invited to join IFoF for an in-game picnic that begins at 7:30pm. You can choose to watch the game from the Coors Light Picnic area or from Section 120 on the first base side of the stadium.

Sounds great, right?

Here's what you have to do to enter:

Simply leave a comment with your favorite thing about going to a baseball game AND how many tickets you'll need. If you want all 8 tickets, great. If you only need 4 or 5, let me know that too and I can give the other tickets away to someone else. Be sure to leave your e-mail address or make sure your e-mail address is available on your profile.

For extra entries:
  1. Like the 4th Frog Blog on Facebook and leave a comment below that you did.
  2. Like the Indiana Family of Farmers on Facebook and leave a comment below that you did.

Entries will be taken until Friday, May 25 at 8pm. I'll use Random.org to choose a winner (or winners if the first person doesn't need all 8 tickets).

Good luck! I hope to see you at Victory Field on June 11!

My favorite part of a baseball game is the 7th inning stretch. I also like the Indians ice cream! I like the Indiana Family of Farmers, and I already like you!

Oops - I need 5.

Mandatory entry: I would need 6 tickets. My favorite part of the game is watching those pop flies get caught and those close calls. The kids love watching the entertainment or trying to catch the foul balls.

What a fun giveaway! We're a small bunch, and would only need three tickets. My favorite part of a trip to the ballpark is seeing my son get excited when the players run on the field. He loves the pre-game festivities!

Oh, and I'm already a HUGE fan on Facebook. :)

Hi, Amy! Of course 4th Frog is already liked on FB, and I liked IFoF, too.

I have never been to an Indian game but would love to go. I love the atmosphere of a live game. I love people-watching, too. My kids have never been to a live game, either, and I would love to share the opportunity with them.

If we win, we will need 7 tickets. Thanks for this chance to win!

My favorite thing about going to a baseball game is just sitting back & watching the game while enjoying being outside, usually with a cold beer in hand. :) I would need just 3 tickets, as my two youngest still get in for free.

I also already like the 4th Frog Blog on Facebook. Thanks!

I love the atmosphere of baseball games -- just taking in a sporting event live is one of the best things to do!

I'd use 5 tickets.

We don't go very often, but sitting on the lawn watching an Indians game is just part of why I love Indiana. We get so caught up in the madness of the day to day it is nice to enjoy sitting on a blanket watching 'old school' baseball. I might even eat a hotdog (which I would never do any other time) at the ball field. Just part of the atmosphere I guess. We would use 4 tickets :)
And of course I like you on Facebook!

We've gone from needing the wide-open spaces of the outfield grassy area in order to let the little ones wear themselves out to the point where the seat backs of the box seats are most welcome! We also love the variety of food and beverages available and the view can't be beat! We'd need a max of 5, but with the schedules the way they are, we could probably make about any number work. Went ahead and liked IFF, and bet I was one of the first 4th Frog friends...

I love how easy it is to root and cheer for a team, even if you have never seen them play a game before!

I have 2 favorite things about going to the ball park.

1. The food - nothing beats snack bar at the park.

2. The game is ok, but the atmosphere to sit and chat with friends is the best.

I'd use 5 tickets.

The greatest thing about baseball is how time seems to slow down and makes you realize how much you have and to appreciate the true essence of the game. I would love to take my and my finances family to the game that night. Thanks for the chance!

The best thing about baseball is seeing the smile on my boys face during the game. We went to Arizona over spring break to watch Spring Training. My son loved it!

My favorite thing is going with my father and realizing again just how much he knows about the game and what a big part of his life it's always been.
