Two lies and a truth
Scenario #1: About 7:00 this morning, I awoke to the sound of breaking glass. I sat up to find two knife-wielding ninjas (thanks for the inspiration, Judy Daniell) coming in through the bedroom window.
"Mike!" I screamed. Upon hearing the panic in my voice, Mike leapt from te bed and engaged in some fierce hand-to-knife combat with these two very bad dudes. In the melee, he ended up with a broken ankle and torn ligaments.
Scenario #2: Early this morning, Mike was out riding his new FatBike (that's really what it's called). He heard shrieking and saw an old woman frantic because her little tabby cat had run into the street and into the path of a garbage truck. Mike pedaled with heroic speed and threw himself in front of the truck, saving the cat. However, the truck's rear tire ran over Mike's right leg, breaking his ankle and tearing a few ligaments in the process.
Scenario #3: While getting dressed this morning, Mike tripped over a pile of clothes that have been waiting for several weeks to be taken to Goodwill. He felt 3 pops and was in excruciating pain. A trip to the walk-in orthopedic clinic revealed a broken ankle and torn ligaments that will require surgery to repair next week.
Which do you think is the truth?

Of course it was number 1, since your bedroom is on the 1st floor of the house (not). So then maybe number 2, because we all know he is a cat lover and not a dog lover....umm, ok, I guess I will have to go with number 3, only because I have a similar pile of clothes sitting in my bedroom, one in the playroom, one in the girls' closet, and...well, I guess I need to gather them all up (will probably fill a pick-up truck) and take them to Good Will so no one in my family breaks an ankle. But I am still going with #1!
#1 sounds so much cooler than #3, but intuition tells me it's #3. Nick did something similar a couple years ago--only no tripping was involved--he just sat wrong on his heels and pop pop, there goes the ligaments in his ankle. He got a sexy grey boot to wear but no surgery.
I'm gonna go with #2, altho #1 is flat out awesome, and #3 is probably the truth. I just like the idea that Mike is a Super Hero.
I too believe that Mike is a super hero. Hope he heals quickly and well.
Well duh, number one!
But go to Goodwill anyway, okay?
I say #3 is better than #1. Never put a human life at risk to save an animal. Animals are gr8 but not at the expense of a human life.
i am going with number 4 - i think he was flying with darth vader and when they dropped him back home he landed too hard and got hurt. he couldn't get to his communicator for the spaceship to come back and help him so you had to take him to the doctor!!
that is my story and i am sticking to it lol lol
Oh Shite!
#5- by the time he made the bedroom, a ninja was hiding in the clothes pile and tripped him up.
#3
